Hello! I’m Emily Wilson, a Maine-based artist whose work spans mixed media printing, drawing, design, and an ongoing exploration of the creative process. My practice centers on wearable and transformative art, with a focus on one-of-a-kind presentation and the intentional placement of artwork in unexpected spaces—creating unique and personal experiences for the viewer.
I approach each piece as a study of space, repetition, and innovation—exploring how a single design can evolve across multiple platforms. Whether working on paper, fabric, or digitally, I carefully consider the best form for each idea to evolve. This allows my work to live not only in galleries, but also on bodies, in homes, and out in the world.
My goal is to create a genuine, experiential blend of fine art and design—work that invites connection, interaction, and transformation. I believe that creativity is not just a product but a way of life, and my art reflects a dedication to both process and presence.
I live and work across the state of Maine, traveling between beloved coastal communities and the western mountains. The natural beauty and rhythm of this landscape continually inform my work and fuel my desire to create with intention, care, and curiosity.
Thank you for your interest and following along!
